On Thursday 26th of September was the European Day of Languages!
The intercultural activity
The students of the Vocational High School Les Menuts welcomed the European trainees mentored by Cap Ulysse with a welcoming speech in various languages. A “speak-meeting” was led and allowed the students to break the ice and to start communicate in French, English, Italian…
The students organised a tour of the High School and gathered into intercultural groups. Then, they had to perform some challenges in the city of Bordeaux and to come back to share feedbacks and results with the entire group.
Testimonies of participants
Discover the testimonies of the participants through their eyes:
“Yesterday, we met some Italian people, with our group, we showed them our city. They were very nice with us. We walked from our vocational school to famous landmarks of Bordeaux such as “Grand Théâtre” or “Miroir d’eau”. We took many pictures: funny ones, professional ones,… What I liked the most was the fact we met new people.” J.
“It was weird because one Italian girl told me about a guy who was in Talence and was studying tourism and as a coincidence I knew him! What surprised me the most was the fact we walked around Bordeaux in one hour only! I couldn’t believe that, but I did it!” N.
“It was cool, I’ve liked to take pictures with my friends and the Italians. What surprised me the most was that they said some words in Arabic. I liked to stroll, because it was the first time I got out with foreigners. I liked my group because they were nice. It was very funny.” I.
